I like what someone else said on this forum "there is no earn in RNG" and this fits with 80% of my crucible matches where the lowest k/d or lowest effort gets the gear. Rng is not earning, it is luck.

RNG = random number generator... I can spell "earn" twice. Anyways, not to argue the point whether earning it or not.. But rather that RNG is based around how much everyone plays. RNG is based on an average. Say getting an exotic is 4% chance. Out of 100 strikes, 4 exotics are given out... Randomly. Doesn't have anything to do with how well you do. The more time you invest, it does become inevitable to get exotics though.

I don't understand why you put those two first lines in but as for the rest, I just don't understand why the worst players get rewards unless they like getting slaughtered 20 hours a week because they are often the ones receiving anything. Are you trying to prove that it is not just luck? That's what I got out of your post. I know that the more chances you take the more chances you have at exotics and such but it is still based on having luck imo.

  • Define luck? Because in the end, it's random.

  • There may be no such thing as luck, but if there is you can say you were lucky to have generated the correct number to get a ghorn for example.

  • I disagree. 800+ hours and I've never had Ghorn or Ice breaker drop. Had to buy IB. It doesn't reward you for how much time you put in. If that was the case I should have over 60% of all exotics lol.

  • But see, you've had exotics. It doesnt mean you get them all. It's comments like this that make me laugh. You think that because you get an exotic, you should get the one you want. You have a sense of entitlement. I've had plenty of exotics I haven't gotten, but I have gotten multiples of a lot of exotics I don't care for.

  • I don't think that I have some sense of entitlement so not sure what you're getting at there. And I have had MANY exotics drop. I owe 90% of the exotics I own to Xur. So please enlighten me on why after 800+ hours of playing I've only ever had 4 specific exotic drops. Please defend this broken RNG a little more.

  • I can tell you that you must be a lobby warrior. I have bad RNG compared to my friends list. In 100 hours I'll get 3-5 exotics doing strikes, nightfall, raids.. Whatever.
