Gaming companies don't care about their hardcore players because they represent a fraction of the consumer market
All these gaming publishers, and by virtue gaming developers, are all here to make money from their work. What we think is them selling out is actually them wanting to maximise profits
There was a time when gaming studios cared about their fans, but now they aim to please a wider audience, hardcore or not, your money is the same
