While I agree that would be interesting it wouldn't work as nearly as the rest of the area does, once you pass the giant wall that's the barrier for patrol and it fits aesthetically but in the starting area it's an open field and putting an invisible barrier or a soft kill boundary doesn't really fit as well as a giant wall. But I do wish I had explored the starting area before going into the wall

I explode it, there is nothing out there. The E3 footage there was a open area before you go into the wall. But in the final game there is a drop off all around you and you can't go anywhere but through the door.

Its the area where the characters start in the E3 gameplay demo vid, from what I could tell it was a fully developed area and not just a little patch from where you wake up to the door on the wall. I, too, failed to explore before running to the wall though, so I couldn't confirm that.

i explored it aswell the reason you don't have double jumo then is so you can't follow the broken bridge.

They could easily ass another invisible wall in the game to fix that. There's already tons of them.
