borderlands 2 at least has weighted loot that has higher chances of dropping from certain sources, like every boss has a weighted legendary that they might drop. in destiny there's pretty much no way to actually attempt to obtain any specific item that you want other than to repeat the same missions and kill countless enemies endlessly and mindlessly.compared to borderlands 2, this games loot system has absolutely no direction.
