I'd say you have a tough choice. First and foremost- live your own life. If joining up is something you feel is important to you then you need to do it. Second if your GF isn't down with it then your relationship is probably not going to survive the hardships that go along with military service.
I've seen the military corrupt relationships I thought were really strong. Military divorce rates are higher than those of the civilian population, for legitimate reasons.
So right now you have to really take a hard look at what's important to you, and her reasons and commitment to the prospect of you joining up. If your service is still top of your list you may have to do the kindest thing you can for her and let her go.
