Had it been anything else I would have said grow a pair and do what you want. But, in this case I'd have to side with the woman. While I do admire the military for their bravery and service I think that these days the average military foot soldier does a lot less protecting our country and a lot more bitch work for our corrupt government. If you are going to die for a cause, I'd say make it a more important one than seizing oil fields in the Middle East. All so a bunch of obese suburbanites can make a 40 minute single passenger drive to work in their 10 mpg hummer everyday at $2 a gallon... Just saying. They have satellites to shoot down missiles, average military personnel do more policing the rest of the world than actually protecting this country. I don't blame them. I blame politics. Unless I saw a major change in our political system I wouldn't advise anyone to join the military.

Well, I politely disagree with your opinion. PS: How much of those 'oil fields' made it to America? How much of that oil went to China, when China got all the contracts for it? I'll wait, while you get high and talk about bullshit you can't quite understand. I'll be sure to check back to see your response when I'm back stateside

I don't use drugs and I understand the issue just fine. Please explain to me why we have always been so concerned with implanting "democracy" in the Middle East? We are hardly concerned with dictatorships throughout the rest of the world, at least not militarily. Why are we so concerned with that geographical area? It's just common sense. I'm sure we were a big reason why those contracts went to China. We certainly are heavily indebted to them, among other nations. It's not so much about American oil companies anymore. We live in global economy. Most formerly American oil companies aren't even based in America anymore. The point is, people die in the sand so that the first world can reap the economic benefit, and continue our way of life at their expense. You say the U.S. Isn't benefitting because they didn't get the contracts. And that may be true, but if you were to follow the money trail their is a financial/economic incentive to our involvement. Or did you really believe those in power care about people in the Middle East? Who's being naive?

What he says is mostly right. I was in country 04 - 05 as 11 BANG BANG in the army. Taking over oil fields was priority at times. Your orders from higher ups (Colonel, etc) were basically bullshit. We secured areas and next thing you know, magic happens. Basically we were pulling oil from time to time from the people. We did protect them, from so called terrorist, that were forcing civilians at gun point to fight with them, mostly because we're robbing them. What the media doesn't tell you is why and where are all the resources, we're taking going. Who are the real terrorist because going into combat face to face with them, lead me to believe .... it's no them. This country is -blam!-ed up and controlled for many reasons, one main is greed. It's like today how the media race baits, and certain people(bad public figures) go about the cop killing blacks now. It's all a distraction to stir up bullshit, fear, and control. This is how you keep the lower, and middle class in check, because it only affects them. This is just another way used to forget about what's going on overseas. All the oil we're taking goes straight to he higher ups for profit obviously. What your saying about China and everything. I do agree but I also think there's so much under the table shit that goes on with them, and other. Feel like a number is just thrown in the air and both sides stay richer. Money too, is nothing. It's just paper to them. Resources is where it counts.
