I don't get why anyone wouldn't want this. How would trading break the game? I don't care what gun you have or how you got it. Why would you care what gun I have or how I got it? If it makes the game more fun for me and someone else because we both could get something that rng never gave us how is that bad? I'm all for it. I have my raid gear. I'm happy with the guns I have. There's a few things that never dropped for me yet I have gotten 8 husk of the pits. Give me a reason other than you want to be special or PVP to be easier for you? I do think if you trade for a gun you should have to level it up tho.

  • Would make the game pointless. Trading is what ruined borderlands. Once you have all guns why would you play?

  • dealing with shit rolls week after week is pointless. I've run many nightfalls, heroics, raids, etc along side my clan members. we have had many who went threw the same sh... trials and come out with nothing to show for it while others roll great gear in abundance. i've had MANY instances where i've gotten something and said "this is the exotic i used to complete this" as my clan member's sitting there, same fire team, carried his weight. "that's the gun i've been looking for" and all i can say is tough luck? Trading would remedy the feeling of being cheated by a crappy drop table.

  • Everyone deals with shit rolls. Nightfall hasn't given me anything good in like 2 months. But the point of the game is to get lucky and feel that sense of accomplishment. Just being given everything would ruin the entire point of playing. As I pointed out in my original post, borderlands had a trading system as well as a vault glitch and duplication glitch. Everyone had EVERYTHING. At that point, what is even the purpose in playing anymore? Destiny doesn't have enough content to justify a trading system yet. Maybe in a year or 2 when there is far more guns and armor...but now? ~25 exotic weapons? I have 23. Still looking for hardlight and thunderlord. I've seen it given out many times. I don't feel bad though. The current system makes so much more sense. What is the purpose in raiding if you have all the exotics, you're already level 32, and you have all the raid weapons. Once you run it once...is there a point in running it again? Nightfall would be pointless (though I'm sure we could both argue it's already pointless). Every aspect of the game outside of PvP would have absolutely zero significance since there is nothing left to do.

  • There already IS nothing left to do. Other that roll the dice and build grimoir score. I'd rather the game reward skill instead of luck. Or at least set up the drop tables to show love more often than every 2 months. That is why the ENTIRE borderlands community accepted the exploits so easily. Because of shit drop tables. Farm a boss over and over until your brain implodes and then farm some more, become a zombie and even then you might get what you want? Not my idea of fun. I'll grind. For level any day. Want to make a weapon hard to get? Give me a challenge. Not a garbage drop mechanic. I've seen a better RNG in original tetris. At this point i'm more entertained by garden warfare.

  • Have you EVER played an MMO? Both destiny and borderlands were very lite in terms of farming. You could farm for hours a day for months on end for a single item and get nothing. Rolling the dice is part of destiny. A lot of people would prefer a skill based drop system but that is what the trials of osiris are. That's why people are so pumped for it. Win matches, get loot. Needs to come out already...

  • Another variant of crucible that'll reward last place? Can't wait.

  • actually no...Skirmish with level advantages enabled. Everyone gets rewards on the team (at least it seems this way) and winning 20 matches in a row gives you the only exotic emblem in the game

  • Clearly the better minds left bungie for 343 studios. I'm done with this game.

  • I liked trading with people in borderlands. I would sometimes drop a really good gun I didn't need to a lower level player. It was fun.... I guess we like different things. As far as what would be left to do in the game.... I dunno.... use those guns, level them up, etc. I just don't see the problem. Again, I'm happy with what I have and playing the game with them. I just don't care if someone has 2 Gallys and someone else has 2 Red Deaths and they wanna trade.

  • You are just looking for the easy way out. The game requires a grind. It's what makes destiny destiny. If you're just looking to have anything, there would be nothing there to differentiate anyone. Everyone would have everything. It would ruin destiny. Most of the hardcore grinders would just stop playing.

  • Since when was borderlands ruined? Besides that there are literally hundreds of guns worth trading.

  • Borderlands was a loot based game. It got stale when you got EVERYTHING. Destiny has like 1/10 of the guns and high grade gear that borderlands had. There's what like 25 exotic weapons? Not enough guns to make trading a smart choice. Everyone would have everything and there would be no need to play since there is such little content
