If you're actually in the raid.. you know the difference between 'raid' legendary gear and vendor bought legendary gear. I highly doubt anyone has discarded something they got in a raid because it just happened to have a purple background. Leave it the way it is.

By the way, I was talking about the coloured background not the shading on the actual equipment

Edited by SVDurLIFE: 1/3/2015 11:00:43 PMI didn't know how good raid gear was until they adjusted the stat display for everything. Discarded alot of pieces because I didn't know what piece would be better in the future and I didn't want to put up the time to change it
-
so they fixed the stat display a month ago.. now you know the difference.. so why change the color and seriously man.. it's raid gear, which takes effort and maybe some skill to acquire.. it's gonna be better than vendor trash
-
Vendor trash? Vendor gear takes you to 31 light. Practically only thing that matters in this game.
-
that's my outlook on it.. i disagree with bungie how they went about this.. i run into far too many terrible players that are level 31 with vendor bought gear.. especially in raids.. hard to become legend when the guy next to you bought his way there.. but we're getting off topic.. legendaries are legendaries.. now they have the little "I" in the corner to symbolize the expansion they come from.. you should know those are better than the previous legendaries just by glancing at them
-
Lol ya off topic. Still, if they didn't introduce the stat viewer, they would need a color coding system. It's just a technicality really. Maybe have the loot titled differently. Like "Vault of Glass" instead of "legendary"
-
They all have specific names.. like VoG warlock armor is Hezen Lords.. while the Crota's End armor for warlocks is called Deathsinger, and they have a distinctly different look to them
-
I know that now. But what about the normal noobs

Edited by Xenolith666: 1/4/2015 12:08:11 AMnoobs won't be in the raid.. otherwise there's google http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=608165 http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=596350 this information is out there.. i've compiled it for both raids, as have countless others on various gaming sites.. if people want to find out.. they can.. the vendor stuff you can see right in front of you at the tower.. you know what it is.. the raid stuff is either unattainable at this point, or attainable.. you should know it'll be better because it's 'harder' to get and obviously the VoG armor is outclassed by the new vendor stuff due to the light levels.. but most of the weapons are still viable
