Ok. Point one: the RNG in this game individualized. Meaning that each character gets an individual roll for rewards completely independent from team play for every event, PvP and PvE. By definition this is fair as there is nothing that others can do that impacts your rolls, both positive and negative. Point two: I do agree that better performance should be rewarded, however in all but one of the Crucible playlists the goal is TEAM play. Yes having the highest score is good and all, but at the end of the match what matters is not individual achievement, but team achievement that determines if the team wins or loses. IMHO Matchmaking PvP feels like a tiny bathroom full of cramped stalls where each one has a glory hole; everyone is so busy trying to fsk everyone else that they lose sight of the objective: winning the match. I would love to see a system where say.... RNG is still individual, that is the worst player could get the best rewards and the top player could get nada but handled like this. Everyone starts off with 1 loot slot. The winning team gets an additional loot slot. The highest scoring player on each team gets 2 additional loot slots, the next 2 highest scoring players get 1 extra loot slot. So the best player on the winning team gets 4 chances for loot, and the worst player on the losing team gets 1 chance for loot. He could still get G-Horn and everyone on your team could get nada, but that is because RNGeebus sent a golden shower your way, not because the system is unfair.
