Well in theory this is a F2P game after you buy the first installment. Sony made PSN free for a while but now they are hogging all the monthly subscriptions which should be the life blood for the Developers NOT for the guys holding all the network technology. This is the age of access those that make connections are getting in the way of those needing to be connected. I would rather give my $15 a month straight to Bungie who would in turn pay for network rental on PSN, XBL. Alas such is not the case and I fear Bungie wont be able to live up to standards making a few hundred million every few months which they rapidly spend trying to keep up with our voracious appetite for Destiny. There is no profit margin in that, just survival and I believe that that is the reason the game has a lot of people on the forums crying for more and hearing nothing in response,

Edited by Scrotimere: 12/31/2014 5:58:21 PMNo, you are free to play the game at your own discretion. This is a semantic argument because nothing is really free. We are all paying $15 a month to Sony so that we gain access to our freedom to play (figure that out). Online play was all free up until XBL starting making billions using monthly subscriptions as a cash cow, now all network technologies are wanting in on the action and leaving the Developers to sit and spin. This was just an idea to put money in the hands of Bungie who is making the game, not in the hands of the overlord Sony who probably care even less about us than Bungie.

It's just the way it is, nothing is going to change.

A rather bleak outlook but I fear you may be correct.
