Dear Bungie,
So two weeks in a row I kill Crota, and both times all I get is two radiant shards?! I wouldn't be too upset if my party members were getting equivalent rewards, but one guy got the raid helmet and the raid fusion rifle. Now imagine a team, celebrating their defeat of Omnigul. They all gather around their respective rewards packages. First Dark opens his package, "5 coins! Damn! At least I got Hardlight from the first raid chest, and the helmet and fusion rifle from Crota!" Kaos comes next, "10 coins! Well, beats you Dark! Plus I got Hardlight from the Nightfall last week." Armedkiller, glancing hopefully at the box in front of him, tears it open. "Damn it! I got 5 coins. The same as last week, and all Crota gave me was 2 shards." I'm fine with getting coins for the nightfall. I just don't see how getting less coins than the mid-tier weekly heroic strike is fair.
But maybe, "All is fair in love and RNGsus."

P.S. I want so badly to love the game, but without the blessing of RNGsus I feel completely SOL.
Edit 1: Clearly I need to clarify, the majority of this post was intended as hyperbole. I understand RNGsus and his malevolent nature. I also love the hell out of this game. I was using a crass method to try and generate a real discussion about equality within the RNG system.

HEY THAT'S ME! Seriously tho, it's like I've ninja'd your luck lately. It really bother me that you can do the night fall and get fewer strange coins than doing the weekly for crying out loud. I mean they promised to fix the loot system in the new raid and it still feels like 90% luck. And it's just absurd that Papa smurf654 got a freakin' legendary engram from the spirit bloom chest in the VOG and got a V1.0 300 dmg capped hvy weapon. Or how gorrila got 5 gloves in a row before he got any different gear. I think that to make the discussion as productive as possible we'd need to suggest more specific alternatives. "This sucks but I would like X instead." However, this isn't our responsibility, we're not payed to hypothesize and test alternative systems. I think that answer lies in the same system but with a more reliable and dynamic loot tracking because you and gorilla made it clear that it doesn't work. And as bad as it is, it's not present VOG bad, It's not like I've gotten 3 helmets in row like Ignus's 3 mythoclasts. Crota's end is bad but VOG is just the worst, it's hardly worth playing anymore. There's a fine line between unlucky and unfair and it's rather difficult to make that distinction.
