I was thinking more of a black market, where players could post a weapon and a price. Like a GHorn for 20 strange coins, 10 mote of lights and 5000 glimmer.

like others have pointed out, real world money would be used more often than not. would basically end up a micro transaction system, which would in my opinion suck.

And? People buy shit to help them get better at games in apps all the time, same concept. At least with this, people would have the option to use in game currency also. And it prevents veterans from just giving away ("trading") the best weapons.

dont spose you have noticed all of the negative comments about the lack of content in the DLC. but charging real cash (cos thats what would happen) for a single weapon would be a good thing? somehow i cant see too many people agreeing with you. may as well have bungie charge twice as much for a game that already has everything unlocked and that way you wouldnt need to even bother playing it! the reason this game makes you keep coming back is to find/unlock the things you have not yet gotten, making this easier would in my opinion cut the lifespan of the game down very quickly.

Valid point. That means my bounty grinding for the Sunsetter would be pointless. Yeah, -blam!- trading/buying guys, that's dumb.
