So long as it were a system in which only items of the same rarity (legendary for legendary, exotic for exotic, etc.) could be traded. With other certain restrictions, such as raid armor only being tradeable for armor from the same raid, and guns like the Mythoclast and Necrochasm being locked from trading.

So I give any old exotic bought from Xur plus some cash via PayPal and get any exotic I want! Cool! I won't even have to rely on drops any more. Brilliant!
