The 'no' votes are Bungie and Activision employees with a pinch of idiots from the forums. Trade system = fluctuation of currency = happy rich people. The cool thing about that is that anyone can be rich thanks to RNG.

 • Bungie won't do it because it could bring irl money into play like " I'll pay you 5 dollars PayPal for a gjallarhorn" and they don't want that to happen

 • That's always a consideration, given that the only reason to be apposed would be a loss of income. God forbid the reasoning would be they don't want to have a bad name. lol
That would just be crazy.
• People already complain about "fake" this and "fake" that. Do you hate the fact that I could buy this game for my 10 yr old nephew and he could be level 31 in days? Then why implement trading.... Not a good system. If any replies are that "bungie should put limitations on certain trades or certain trade items, or trade only with friends" then you are asking for handouts and the game has plenty of that already.

 • Why would you want someone to put at least 100 hours into this game to catch up? Especially if it's a family member you might want to play with? Have you not played any game with similar MMO-aspect tactics? Mainly the mainstream, recently made ones. The only people that say anyone is fake anything are ignorant as hell. The entire game's loot system is based on random drops. There is literally no way to get gear guaranteed unless you purchase it, and even that is random as to what is available. You don't seem very considerate for your nephew...

 • Haha. I guess I should have said example. I don't have a nephew. My point is this.... Someone could buy the game today and be level 31 by next weekend. Easy as that. Trading gets involved that time could be cut down. So then you have someone who is level 31 possibly have raid weapons maxxed out with ghallahorn. I wouldn't want my destiny experience to cross paths with someone like that.

 • Whatever you say, man. As long as I'm with people that aren't douchebags, are funny, and can shoot stuff pretty well... I'm ok with whatever experience they have. Oh man, here's an example for you. This guy, this F-ING guy, complains the entire time we were doing VoG. VoG ffs. Mind you, we were all 30 and 31. His complaints? He wanted everything to be done his way. He said you can't shoot both the back oracles from the top right platform, it was impossible. He said he was dying because no one was helping him. I mean, omg, when we did the Gatekeeper, I told 2 to stay outside Mars, him and 2 others go inside, and I solo Venus. (Always easy with Weapons of Light, Illuminated, and 300 Ghorn or any sniper) The guy could not let up that it was our fault he was dying. I could get his frustration if he had a reason, but the guy couldn't give us one. He also sounded 25-30. I'm 24, and started my gaming life with Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES at 3. If he's been gaming as long or longer than me, and freaking out that much, that right there tells you experience in any game doesn't amount to much sometimes. We beat it the next try after he left.

 • the real problem is that there would be no point to doing the raids anymore, or strikes, or anything for that matter since you could just trade for gear. Sure, the grind can be a pain in the butt, but ultimately, that is part of the destiny experience, grinding and spending hours in the game to get the gear you want and need. IMplementing a trade system would not only result in a gear "black market" like stated above, but would also ruin the game for everyone. New players who trade for gear wont do the grind and learn mechanics for raids and strikes, thus making the experience worse for them since they wont experience those things, and also worse for everyone who has to play with them since carrying them will be a burden. I think part of this games fun (and frustration) is the rng. Yea, it can be frustrating at times, but that never knowing what you are going to get is what i think brings a lot of people back.

 • Because the people that have purchased the vanguard gear to be level 31 that have never stepped foot in VoG have hurt the game so much? There is no difference there other than less time for gear acquired. The effect wouldn't include you, the average raider. It would just hurt them, the lazy people.

 • I disagree, it would affect us. Think about it, the people who have bought level 31 gear, most of them have run the vault. Those who havent stick mostly to pvp. Most of them understand the core mechanics of it, most of them have just gotten unlucky with drops, which is the reason they are below 30. Now you are going to have a whole bunch of new people who go from 20 to 31 without ever stepping foot in a raid, and then they are going to want to do it on hard mode. It hurts everyone. trading is bad for this game, it ruins the point, the mechanics, the idea of the basis of this game. RNG may not be perfect, but its the best thing a game like this could have. Guaranteed drops would discourage people from playing over and over again, which from a business stand point is no good. A trade system would further this even more, by completely negating the reason to enjoy the game that bungie has produced. I too could careless about how other people get through the game. If they buy the gear who cares, raid, who cares. However, i think its in the best interest in the future of this game not to implement a trading system. But hey, to each his own. If you think that a trading system won't ruin this game, then thats your opinion, i just wanted to give you some points from the other side.

 • Know what would be a major fix to all of these, and allow for a trade system that worked well? More content, including weapons. Also, if you're not raiding with a set group every week, like using DestinyLFG.com for example, you're only hurting yourself. It's a good site, but I would only use that if no one I play with is online. My normal group did VoG hard runs in under 40 minutes with no wipes every time. Yeah, to each his own for sure. I'd totally agree a trading system in it's current state would ruin the game. It just wouldn't hurt the people. It's a business/sales perspective for Bungivision. The easier it is (as if it wasn't easy enough, even with RNG) to get gear and finish content, the less people play, the more boredom sets in, the less the franchise as a whole sells product. I totally agree with you, man, just in a different way.
