Got mine farming the Fist of Crota mission, upgraded to Eidolon Ally now.

It's really just another no impact auto rifle -_-
-
You're not wrong, but I do actually prefer this one to Hardlight, the impact is awful admittedly, but the recoil is really manageable and I haven't unlocked the stability perks yet either.
-
But to be honest.... Atheon's Epilogue is better than eidolon ally .... It deals void damage, has very controllable recoil with and without the stability perk and has a much larger magazine. The only advantage the eidolon ally has over Atheon's Epilogue is the higher attack rating. Of course the necrochasm could be a completely different story.

Edited by Keiro1979: 12/19/2014 8:22:10 AMOn some of those points I'll agree with you, void damage is a plus, although against void shields I much prefer a void fusion rifle, Eidolon could definitely do with a magazine boost, but I actually prefer the stability of Eidolon over the Epilogue, have both weapons fully levelled now, just waiting for the Crux, some situations I prefer the Eidolon, others I prefer the Epilogue. I just hope that they don't make the same mistakes that they made with all the other exotics you have to work for (bounties) as every single one suck until they were buffed.

Well good luck with getting the crux !
-
Haha thanks, with my luck with RNG I'll definitely need it

Approximately how many kills do you need for the upgrade
-
Was around 400-500 hive kills, I went and did it in the rocket yard on earth. Took alot less time to actually get to be able to upgrade than it took to actually get the Husk from the Blade of Crota in Fist of Crota mission. I almost gave up completely...
-
What do you need to Upgrade the last thing?
-
The embalming orb from Eris Morn to upgrade from husk of the pit to Eidolon Ally, Crux of Crota to upgrade from Eidolon Ally to Necrochasm. Crux of Crota is only available from hard raid, no doubt a random drop too.

That would be kind of good.
