OMG, I got the same shit this week. I ended up getting Validictorian Rocket Launcher and an exotic I already had - the Apotheosis Veil. Free shard I guess but I don't think Ill be upgrading any but 1 of my weapons. The GH. I got nothing else really worth upgrading with the Murmur and Light of the Abyss.
YES -blam!- RNG -blam!- YOU IN THE BUM WITH NO LUBE!!! ;)

With over 300 game hours in, still no G-horn or Dragons breath... Just watched a friend get the new Hardlight AND Dragons breath lastnight... Incredible how un-random RNG actually is...

Edited by IcedCaesar81: 12/17/2014 10:39:46 PMA friend of mine hasn't played in a few weeks. He logged on and did PVP for a few hours. Within 30 minutes he got a legendary engram and an exotic rocket launcher. First he decrypted the engram > Dragons Breath Did the next match of PVP > Dragons Breath I think the RNG of this game uses addiciton to its advantage. It expects us to grind constantly when we are dedicated but those who aren't daily patriots just get hand outs to get them sucked back in. That seems to be the way of RNG IMO. Then my buddy got an upgraded GH from a nightfall and we didn't get shit for 3 weeks. If they just added trading this game would be awesome and worthwhile to play.

That's the theory our group has concluded as well. Those who play less get more, trying to entice them to get back into the game. The more you play, the less you actually get. Apparently no one at Bungie has ever played a grinding game like Diablo... More hours should equal more rewards...

Yep, my bro just logged on plays like less than 9 hours a week. Got it to drop on first -blam!-ing kill. I hate this RNG so much right now. Going on about 5-6 + hours. I think I should get an achievement or a pat on the back for this effort. I don't think I can stand to do it much longer... gruling. Check my Titan he has ran that mission A LOT.

lmfao you poor bastard, I count 45 times... I'm at the point of just walking away until after new years... maybe that will reset my RNG....?

I think it's just the fact they are used to developing Halo games not real MMO whatever you want to call it type of game that destiny is right now it looks like a hack the beta build
