-Wants PvP Faction Gear
-Doesn't want to PvP
-Upset by Raid Weapons in PvP?
Anyway, I think we can all agree that some 'interesting' decisions have been made regarding character progression. I believe that it makes sense that they removed the marks for materials trade-in, and I am kind of glad for it. Not that I want to limit anyone's experience, but you should have to play the PvP in order to get PvP gear. Regardless of what you intend to use it for, the Crucible is where it was intended to be used.
Raid weapons really aren't that great in PvP. Or more specifically, they don't posses any perk that isn't available to any other weapon, they are just guaranteed to have a specific set. Other weapons can be, and usually are, better suited for the Crucible. Unless you're referring to the Mythoclast, in which case I have no comment. It's not as good as everyone complains about it being, end of story. I also find it curious that you would even take the time to complain about a game mode you "dont give a shit about."
Raid gear only matters for the Raid and your light level, if you're concerned about that. But seeing as how you're not, you have no reason to feel cheated or forced to play the Raid for gear that ultimately won't improve your experience. Sure, the max level for weeklies and nightfall has been bumped to 30, but you can purchase vendor gear to help you cross that threshold. You'll just have to grind out the lower levels before you can tackle the challenge at the top.

I. . .hate that you make so many good points =_= however The saying pvp gear should stay in pvp is actually already broken by bungies philosophy about the game, there is proof in the fact that you can get crucible variant weapons as world drops, Dead Orbit loves pushing their gear my way. Fact is it doesn't matter where you aquire the gear, it goes with you. No one swaps out there chest in a strike because they bought it from the Crucible, nor vice versa. By that very mentality you should never bring raid armor or weapons into the crucible because that isn't where it was earned. THAT is just silly. Though I do hate those damn weapons. Light level matters simply because I want it higher. I shouldn't have to be pigeon-hold into a back of line or 'nun gud nuff' place just because I don't like a particular aspect. I agree that raid gear should be tops, it is certainly earned! But don't build the raid up as a wall to keep the smaller kids out. Let everyone have a top light level through other gear. Though raid gear should naturally be better, aesthetically and perkwise. But saying that you can't have the high level because you didn't brain yourself into migraine during a raid is not cool.
