Believe it or not there is a product on the market that you can purchase to solve the problem. I think it is ridiculous but there is a removable sticker that looks like crosshairs. Just stick it to your TV and fire away.

Haha you must not use the sniper often. When you try to no-scope with the sniper in Destiny the bullet is projected in a random direction in order to prevent no-scoping. If we had a reticle when not ADS then the opportunity to no-scope would be there.

I use Patience and Time sometimes but you're right, I don't run around pretending it's a shotgun.
