How I feel that I am being discriminated against
I feel that I am constantly being discriminated against, not because of my race, gender, or lifestyle, but because of my education. [i]I do not have a college degree..[/i]
Having been unemployed for almost half a decade now, it frustrates me every time I see something like..

Even if I sent in my resume to this institution, the first thing they would look for is my academic background, and then pass it off because there is nothing thats been completed. Even though for over the past decade I've work and learned all I could about the field.
The only saving grace is when I see that a qualification for a job includes, "or related experience.", and at least then there is a sense of hope. (But then they see I've owned my own business and throw it out then..)
If you have been to college and obtained a degree, has that degree opened doors that you feel would have been shut otherwise?
I have tried going back to college to get an AA, but the class work is too easy, and they all look like children to me now.
I don't know, is this really discrimination?

Well I think I should put a opinion on this. Your right to a point of discrimination of the job market and college, but also your missing the factor that college is a market area for " paying people to be a recruit". To those in this forum " off-topic " that have replied with a negative comment towards Malfar, should be ashamed of yourselves. Did the people who designed Core coding, scripting, terminal RCPM, or any other current type of education go to school to learn what they designed or invented? No, they did not. They put themselves outside the box of college, education, and public opinion that college is the key. Those who pay to go to college only have a advantage over those who do not> " Because they are paying to be taught "< but for people who have the given talent to design it with out college or education are far more valued than a young college kid fresh into the work world. Its certain I am not a young person, and its certain I never went to college. That being said I did get a chance to design stuff, and it didn't cost me a single cent towards college. Given skills is a natural gift. Is it discriminating against inventors yes, and " is it fair " no, but just the same as rich gets richer for they spend the money to get taught what they truly already known. Back to the point at hand of the market. Its cheaper to hire a kid out of college and train them for nothing they learned in college, than it is to hire a skilled adult not fresh in the market world. Sad when college people are sunk in debt and have to take a cheap job to pay off their mistakes. Sincerely, DAWG
