The guide to linking and unlinking accounts is here, however the bigger concern is that the Microsoft Account that you linked (which you say is your only one) is for whatever reason not associating with the Gamertag you use to play Destiny with. I'm not a Bungie Employee, but I doubt that unlinking and relinking the account will solve your problem. I'd verify that the Microsoft Account is indeed attached to the Gamertag you play Destiny with, if that's the case we can explore other options.

Well my display name on Bungie is the same as my gamertag on Live and most definitely is the same name, but apparently I used a diferent email to sign up for Bungie than Live. So that probably has something to do with it. Hmmm...gonna change Bungie info and see if that helps. Thanks though.
I think you are absolutely right :) You can change your display name on Bungie.net to anything you want, it doesn't impact account linking / unlinking. Follow the guide I linked earlier to get the right account in the right place, let me know if you run into any other problems!

Consequentially, just for future help threads, bungie.net accounts are created and authenticated to email addresses, not Xbox Live/PSN gamertags themselves. It's a bit weird, but typically if someone changes their "email" that they used on a different bungie.net account, changing it back to the original (assuming they still have access) will solve it.

Do you know how to find out what email was used to authenticate the account at creation. I'm trying to join a clan but it say I don't have a profile linked. I do have one linked, I thought it was the same one I use to log into the app and playstation.

Yep that was definitely it. Thanks for the help man.
