What's up with Eris' eyes? It looks like she has three of them. Could she actually be a Hive agent?

I'm fairly certain she loses her sight somehow, and the Hive eyes are just a magic that, she also somehow acquired, to spy on the Hive and their actions.

I'm thinking something similar. She's definitely studying them.

I don't think those are natural/real. I think it's either magic or armour. She been touched by Darkness, that much is clear. How she didn't sucumb like Dredgen Yor and possibly Oryx is beyond me.

Edited by InfctdGrndZro: 12/4/2014 11:54:22 PMI would be more inclined to lean toward armour on this. If we look at available Hunter helms, specifically, The Mask of the Third Man. It bearing the same three eye'd configuration of the Hive Knights. Now, I don't remember the Guardians name but he was a hunter who was infected by the Hive and carried a gun named Rose. As his light faded and he began to succumb to the darkness his helm became fused and unremovable and his hand cannon corrupted. The mask I've foremerly named, the gun is now called Thorn. I believe Eris has had a similiar experience, but had the green glowing strength of her will and her drive for revenge to keep herself from becoming infected in her spirit. Although the physical changes were unavoidable.

Agreed. Dredgen Yor was the one who was corrupted by the Darkness. I think it's something similar, but nowhere near as bad. She hasn't become a different person because of it.

Ahh yes, I can never remember his name. I also think a good portion of her preservation is because Eris has spent a significantly less amount of time in there prescence than he did. He was imprisoned for years, if memory serves correctly, before the Crota began his full infection.

That's true, though we don't know that much about the Hive. Maybe exposure to something could have been slowly turning her when she was in the hell mouth.

The Hive can infect things, they tried to with the shard of the Traveler. I personally believe they did that to Oryx as well.

If they can infect things. I feel that many Hive were a different race at some point. They do have a huge undead vibe to them.

They're based off mummies, so...
