Coding? Lol seriously? This applies to ALL PLAYERS. Not just the people who bought the DLC. This is just another stupid idea by Bungie once again. Or, it's a really sad way to get players to keep playing the game. Either way, it has nothing to do with coding.

have they said it applies to everyone? New Exotic Upgrading Exotic Gear in The Dark Below will have higher Attack and Defense values than current Exotic Gear. For players and their current caches of Exotics, a path will exist to bring them forward into The Dark Below. pretty sure that says that it only applies to the dark below
-
they said ANY player can upgrade, not just the players who bought the expansion
-
They new system in place is for the game going forward. It wouldn't make sense to segregate the entire game between people with dlc and those without. You're talking about all strikes, vog, and all crucible. It had nothing to do with coding, it's a sleazy way to force us to put more time in while they scramble to create superficial content.
-
you don't have to put in more time on all your exotics, you can leave them as is. my point was ment to illustrate that bungie cant just conjure up magic to fix problems, it take time, money and very skilled people. Maybe this was the lesser of all the evils they could actually make possible. maybe the perfect solution wasn't physically possible?
-
And maybe this was the best way for them to draw out the content they have while making as little new content as possible. They have time, money, and experienced people to handle these problems in a way that benefits the game and the player base, but THIS is their choice. It is insulting and transparent.

well clearly you wouldn't be happy with anything they do unless they gave you a unicorn that automatically won you the game and a huge sign popped up on screen and said your special and the best gamer ever. you are not entitled to anything
-
And you sir will clearly be happy with anything and everything they do. I congratulate you on being an undying optimist. All I would like is for bungie to stop changing the game to extend playtime instead of giving us something to do. I don't think that's too much to ask seeing as how they sold the game as being a game set in an ever evolving world. We are certainly entitled to the game we were sold on. You have it backwards. We owe bungie nothing, they however owe us game support since we paid for the game and the dlc.

Well put.
