*if you like, or dislike, or are indifferent, please vote and leave a reason why* I love patch notes. Kind of a strange obsession honestly, but from Counter Strike: Global Offensive to Destiny, I just love seeing the new work the devs do in a written and organized form. So looking through some comments and forum posts I've noticed that some fixes and additions go undocumented. Fixes like changing The Last Word's holstered location from the small of the back to the hip or making guns and sounds slightly different. While these aren't necessarily huge gameplay changing fixes, they are worth noting as they do modify the game. However there are bigger things too, such as implementation of DLC files prior to launch. While this can often lead to spoilers, it can be generalized to avoid such large potential leaks, as data miners and hackers will discover these implementations anyway. Look at DayZ for example, every patch is well detailed and everything is laid out. Everything from major editions such as PBO object files for gear and NPC's to the minute and almost unnoticeable changes to existing textures. There are laws that state that food products have to have their ingredients listed. If stock brokers were found withholding information from investors then legal action would be pursued. Video games are a product and an investment. Like any product and like any investment we should know exactly what is going into it. By not including the small changes, how can we trust the company selling the investment that we are getting the whole picture. The lack of information gives rise to conspiracy. So what are you're thoughts? Should Bungie include more in patch notes? Or not. Be specific. Edit 2: I want to know exactly what changes, there's a lot I like with updates, but there's a lot that isn't spoken of, and that is a lack of information. Bungie hasn't been too vocal about a lot of controversy surrounding their game, and I think more people will be up in arms over the fact that info is being swept under the rug than just put out to show. This could be a point where Bungie could begin to be a little more open.
