8 RepliesDeeJ, you asked for feedback so here it is: Although allowing exotic weapons to progress to higher damage levels and, subsequently, retain their effectiveness for the new DLC is a good idea, the execution of this idea has upset a lot of players--including myself. With this system, everyone is, essentially, just purchasing there old guns over again. If you want us to continue to use old exotics in the new DLC why completely reset the weapon? You are forcing players to completely redo both purchasing and upgrading a weapon. If this is the case, why should someone bother upgrading it further? You might as well keep the gun fully upgraded at its lower damage level and just purchase a new exotic weapon and then upgrade that weapon. In my opinion, a much simpler and more effective way of both allowing and incentivizing players to upgrade their old exotics wouldn't entail the eradication of previous xp earned. Instead, simply add more upgrade nodes to old exotics that might require additional materials earned in the new raid (just an idea). The bottom line is that you know what happens when a child spends all night collecting Halloween candy, arrives home with a pillowcase fully of sweets, and wakes up to the news that his/her parents ate up all the candy... Yes I just used a jimmy Kimmel bit as an analogy :D... That child is pissed. The community is pissed. Thanks Bungue; thanks for eating our Halloween candy.
