I would much rather Bungie just continuously add on to Destiny rather than a completely new title. Firstly, if after a year and a half to two years, I have to start from scratch because accounts aren't transferable then I will be beyond pissed. That is a LOT of time to invest on a character(s) only to have to throw them to the side to start all over again. It would be much better and personally I think a lot more fun if players could just keep their original accounts and continue to build on them. I was under the impression Destiny would be similar to WoW and just continue releasing expansions to keep the game world growing constantly. Like you said, eventually have a huge galaxy at our disposal to explore that continuously grows over the course of the "10 year plan" for Destiny. They could even do a expansion that was a prologue to the original launch title where you could experience first hand, the arrival of the Traveler, Golden Age, and the collapse that inevitably leads us to the current story line. You could play as you're original character pre-death and it unlocks certain things in the current game world like Golden Age weapons and armor as well as tell the story of your Guardian. There are just so many stones left unturned that the thought of a entirely new game without getting answers in the original would be very disappointing.
