Hi Lacktone,
I'm sorry if any previous messages were missed. BNGHelp accounts are not able to reply to all posts out there.
The description you are giving sounds like a symptom of limited or strict NAT settings. I would like to recommend taking a careful look at our help page for NAT here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11931
Were there specific errors you were getting in addition to noticing that the planets seemed empty?

Thanks for the extra information here, Lacktone. A variety of different error codes can mean that errors are happening in different ways. Without a consistent series of errors, it gets a bit tricky understanding what exactly is happening. Nevertheless, it does seem to be related to NAT issues. I recommend disabling port forwarding. Mixing that step in with any other can cause more problems than solve. I would also recommend trying out the steps here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12147 That article will have you try skipping the router and plugging your console directly into the modem. We recognize our NAT suggestions aren't always able to resolve different errors, but plugging directly into a modem helps isolate if the underlying cause is with some local hardware (and it's configuration) or if the problem is further upstream.

Ok thanks. I will try that out after work. I'll also try to keep a log of codes I may get.

Edited by Judge_Rhymehold: 12/3/2014 1:30:12 AMOh error codes I can remember; Marionbarry - (was much more prominent the week before thanksgiving. Haven't seen it since. Reset router reboot game no prob) Vulture - a few times Bee - once or twice Bear - I think... And a few others I can't recall. Some of them started being obscure ones I'd never heard of and only saw once. So I can't say with certainty if I read it on the forums or if I saw it in game. And thank you for the response!

When I run the network test on Xbox one it will say Nat is open. I had never received that message before. But everyday since the Nov 18 update it gives me that message. Since then I've tried enabling upnp, forwarding the ports, static ip with no luck. Those tips I found on other pages so I will reread that link thoroughly after posting this. I skimmed over it and it looked like what I've tried already. I'm more programmer than networker as I can just push those problems to the networking dept instead of having to learn it myself, so my skills with the router are par at best. So there's always the chance I didn't do it correctly I guess. But it seems pretty straight forward so I don't THINK I did it wrong. :)
