Why?
Legendary gear and weapons become pretty obsolete once you get Raid gear and weapons.
Hit 27 ASAP then start raiding. Those other Legendaries are crap compared to the Raid stuff.

I disagree while legendary armor is useless, being blessed by rng with some good perks on a primary can go a long way. For example, buddy has badger 331 with firefly crowd control and field scout. Thats s great pve legendary that opens an exotic slot for heavy. Or my shotgun hide and seek with range finder shot package and hammer forged. Dominates in pvp. All from legendary engrams

Niclee4life is correct. I already have a level 30 hunter. The main reason I was wanting legendary engrams was for the chance of exotics amd there are still a select few legendary items I would like to acquire. I also have a level 22 warlock that I was hoping to get some gear for.

Edited by niclee4life: 12/1/2014 10:17:11 AMlx sh0ck xl - as he clearly states, he is already raiding VoG. The reason for wanting legendary engrams is obviously the fact that they have a chance to roll an exotic. Other than that, it could be for the shards and energy from dismanteling legendary. I'm running with fully upgraded raid weapons and gear, and still get excited as a child on christmas morning over a legendary engram drop. Why ? caus it MIGHT turn into ghorn, hawkmoon(PS4 only) or heart of praxic fire. So short answer, legendary engrams are NOT without value, even when you have all the raid gear. As for farming locations, there is a spot on mars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=141U-9ks200 But really, the best way is what you are already doing. Tigers, nightfall etc. Loot caves in general are not as rewarding as they used to be when it comes to legendary drops. Bungie has changed that, so you get a better chance of getting legendary from doing missions like daily, tigers etc. instead of staring hours on end into a dark cave shooting at everything that spawns.
