I'm not sure of the process but I know their servers record and store matches as well as they ability to watch servers live. I imagine through watching the footage of a player that has been reported enough by many different people.

...errrm, i don't think so - much easier if they just check the code ;)

Code? You the Server event logs? I'm not sure theyd tell you"so and so use such and such glitches at this time." Or "so and so stood in a cheese spot" the only thing I could see the logs being good for is idling players but I dought they'd read through a huge log when they could scrub through a video.

...what i had in mind was that if they look at the code, they would probably see in said code someone had 'infinite ammo' from the getgo not 100% sure, but i would say it should b visible in the code as its the code that allows the 'heavy ammo' to b used in the first place

It's an exploit of the code meaning that the code doesn't register it as an error. Most likely it takes advantage of a subroutine that is supposed to subtract on firing but with the exploit it doesn't make to that line of the code. This is just an educated guess based on my own coding experience, and really depends on how the code is staged to execute.

...okay, but u would agree that whoever it is at Bungie who checks this, that they probably don't watch replays, or you think they do? ..i dont code myself, its just that i truly hope that there is more sophisticated way available

Probably not, unless its a specific case. However, I wouldn't put it past them to sit in as spectators so certain things. Like when people were cheesing the raid, they probably watch several groups just to see how wide spread it was being used or things of that nature. Scary thought: Bungie could be in your game watching you at anytime.! Lol
