So artwork is usually done by the artists, not the programmers. Should they not be working on anything, or should they all be fired? They can't just put an artist on the task of fixing the VoG bugs, it doesn't work like that. As for items expect all items to eventually be owned by almost everyone. Over time it will happen.

I understand where you're coming from here - as an artist myself. However, as a gamer, I see where OP's point is coming from. Yes, the art team was probably commissioned to generating new icon artwork for this update, and I'm sure they were told to do so by someone higher up than them. I am assuming that OP is not annoyed with the artist, more the people directing their attention elsewhere. Because Bungie isn't being too transparent about what theyre actually DOING, we can't assume they are doing anything other than the minimum for these updates. I'd love to see their art team developing new concept art for armor, places, weapons - and then sharing them so that the community can see interesting developments being made in-house for the future. Yes, you'd still get the people yelling "Durr why are you drawin' new pikturz NERF DIS GUN" but they'd be wetting the appetite of more mature players with stuff like this. I guess I can see both your point (it's very true) and OP's frustrated point as well. Bungie does need to address the issues with the Vault, but I'm sure they have other things they can give us a sneak peak on too, from the artists.

  • They gave sneak previews of concept art and what they were working on in the Developer diaries and everyone complained that they were lied to because it wasn't in the final game. I doubt Bungie will show any concept work going forward because of this. As for being transparent, they've announced in the weekly updates things they are working on and what they are bringing. Again they wait till the last minute but I think that relates back to the first paragraph where I describe how everyone complains when something takes too long or doesn't work out. On a side note about the sneak peeks in one of the last updates they showed off artwork for new areas that are going to be in the DLC.

They did tease concept art for the new armor, here > http://www.bungie.net/en/event/darkbelow The cool thing about this is none of these weapons or armor are included in what DestinyDB already data mined from THIS update (1.03) You can see here > http://destinydb.com/news/posts/76-massive-destiny-patch-tons-of-new-info Look at those bad ass helmets!!! That's a ton of shit IMO.
