Be careful, your bias is showing. Mormons are Christians. We accept Jesus Christ as the Savior of mankind, through whom all mankind may be reconciled with God.

 • Mormons see God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as separate beings. Also, they follow another book besides the bible ( they still use the bible, just not predominantly). And, they believe you get to heaven through good works, whereas Christians believe you get there by faith. Because of this, Christians(Catholics, baptists, luthererans, etc) say that Mormons are not Christian, and that they will go to hell.

 • We are christian thank you very much. We do use many books of scripture, all equally. This year as a faith we are studying out of the Old testament. Next year we will study out of the New testament. We do not believe we can work ourselves into heaven. The Atonement is how we are saved. As one reads the scriptures and prays their faith in God and Jesus grows. As their faith grows, good works begin to show, repentance, baptism, service to God. The bible teaches that faith without works is dead. Faith in the lord leads to works which leads to to more faith which leads to more works. Please study the new testament that you may know the truth of this matter. It does not matter who says or believes we are going to hell. Only God is judge. Only he will decide our fates. And he decides this by our faith in Christ, and the works that show. Be good out there, don't spread misinformation please. Show a little love and respect to those you don't know. God Bless.

 • Jesus says that all who believe in Him and that He is God will be saved and have everlasting life. All who believe that He (God) died for their sins so that they would be free. Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans, etc still believe He is God and died to save them, so according to Scripture, I believe they're saved. They do have doctrinal errors in that they still believe a requirement is to do good works, but despite this, they do believe that Jesus saved them. So even with doctrinal errors, I think Jesus covers them. He's pretty lenient with the new covenant, honestly. Of course this isn't to say we shouldn't help our Christian brothers and sisters by pointing out their errors, but rather just keep in mind that they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we should help guide them and correct some of their misunderstandings. Mormons, however, refuse to believe that Christ is God, so they don't believe that Jesus was who He said He was (God) ("Before Abraham was, I am.") and that He came to forgive our sins. Because of their disbelief in that, they need to be saved still.

 • ... We believe Jesus to be the God of the Old Testament. Who told you otherwise? The Old Testament holds many examples of God being referred to as a Redeemer and Savior. Titles held Jesus also because he is in fact our Savior and Redeemer. Please don't spread misinformation, I invite you to learn a little about our faith before telling others about it. God Bless.

 •
We believe Jesus to be the God of the Old Testament.
God of the Old Testament? Is that to say that He is no longer God? Please explain what you mean by that. (And I believe that it is common knowledge that the majority of Mormons do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord Almighty/Jehovah/God)

 • God the Father > God the Son Jesus is the God of the Old Testament, he came to the earth to sacrifice himself for our sins. He did not send himself. He taught that God the Father sent him. He worshipped God the Father. He put away his own will, and followed the will of God the Father. All he did was to give glory unto God the Father. This is what Jesus taught. These are his words. He is the creator of the earth and the savior of mankind. He did it all for us. To show us the way back to God the Father.

 • Yes, I'm just trying to figure out what you mean by "God of the Old Testament," as though you are implying their are multiple "Gods."

 • There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. God the Father is in charge, it is him we worship and seek after. This we do this by following God the Son, Jesus Christ. His atonement makes reconciliation possible with God the Father. We give praise to Jesus, and try to emulate his character. He is our mediator with God the Father. We have no problem with other gods, because we are comfortable with the fact that there is only one true God. God the Father, who is the father of our spirits. The Godhead is the mission and purpose of God the Father. To bring about the salvation of mankind. God is the architect of it all, and Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are his help. They work in perfect unison, as they follow the will of God the Father.
