Bungie must feel like fools when they see stuff like this. If you are going to patch something do it right for god sakes, every time they patch something it can still be exploited. Can these guys not think further than 2 inches in front of them.

I highly doubt that they would have missed this, it is far more likely that they considered this 'other' entrance too low risk. Meaning not many people have been using it, and few people will actually even be able to reach it from there. Seriously, your average Destiny gamer isn't that skilled.
-
They don't feel like fools. They think Oh great someone found a way to break something we coded for hours on end to create. Dunno why the keep patching it tho. People are just going to find a way to break it again.
-
Yeah exactly, people break it, Bungie patches it, people break it, Bungie patches. It will go back and forth until the game is uncheesable.
-
It...isn't....broken....for the last time. Bungie coded the level so that you could get in there. How can people not understand that? There's a freaking hole there to crawl into for God's sake.
-
Must have been done in the "this is all playable area" phase. Now were in the "dont touch that" phase of development.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 11/17/2014 9:03:44 PMYour missing the point.. It doesn't take ingenuity to fix these problems, it's LAZINESS. When fixing this the QA department should be testing the fudge out of it to make sure it works. How on earth they missed this speaks to how incredibly dense they are, it's laughable. Same thing with VoG, Bungie's QA team is AWFUL and should be fired. As a multi-million dollar studio the fact that you cannot assure your own patches work is hilarious.
-
A multi million dollar studio and some scrub from the Destiny forum thinks he knows better than them. Now THAT is laughable.
-
Nah man take it from someone who has actually done QA there are not enough hours and people in ANY company to outwit millions of bored teenagers. No code is bulletproof. I don't understand why people think its an achievement to go pulling at the strings of things and act surprised when it unravels.
-
I hear what your saying bro, but your talking about walling off a specific area in a very small real estate inside the world. They are looking at the code, they should know out of anyone all possible instances. We'll agree to disagree, I think all their fixes need way better QA until they prove me wrong which they haven't at all as of yet.

Edited by Luckdog26: 11/18/2014 2:02:41 AMThe 'code' has nothing to do with stuff like that, when the level was created that section had a whole big enough for people to get in. It's as simple as that. Testers are generally looking for specific things, they aren't masters of all, they can't look at a level and say "This is EVERYTHING that is wrong with this". Now they have added a invisible wall through the original hole. It's a band aid, they should have made that whole area a "turn back" area. But they obviously have other priorities, so they issued a band aid fix.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I respect that. But its a lot easier to knock someone off the fence than to sit on it yourself. if you are intent on breaking something its gonna get broken. I just don't understand why people focus on this. Typical attitude however, its always more fun to break shit than to try to build something worthwhile and watch everyone else break it. There are a lot more things in this game that are broken and need fixing. This does not. Its fine. Its annoying (at least to me) but not as worthwhile as say fixing the entire zoo full of errors. I would say the same thing about Atheon but my personal theory is that they fixed Atheon because the VoG has more secrets to unlock, and killing him that way would block you from achieving them.
-
Good to see someone else with a level head. Sick of these people who think it is their right to break things.
-
They can do what they like. I just think its stupid to specifically focus on breaking things then brag about it. its like buying a new iPhone and throwing it at a wall and saying, man what a piece of shit look how easy you can break it. Derp... Like one of the other posters said "where there is a will there is a way". Its like people on here WANT Bungie to fail. Personally I don't. Id like to see this game succeed. But I think im in the minority.
-
No I don't think you are, it's more like, the people who talk trash are the vocal minority. Most people want the game to succeed, most people enjoy it, most people play it.
