Normally, the uPNP-setting on your router should automatically open the ports necessary for your console which means you don't need to set up NAT on your router. But if you are experiencing problems, you could open up the ports mentioned in the blue post, and maybe that helps your problems.
For me having the Type 3 a long time, both with upnp or ports forwarded, needed to make a call to my ISP to remove my hidden ip and make it public. After that I got Type 2 and had a better experience playing Destiny. Now i'm not NAT-ing anything and just use uPNP.
Hope everything works out for you!

I've already got all that set up. I've even put certain ports on the router for my Xbox. And yet I still get kicked off Xbox live. My wife can play it just fine and never get kicked off.
-
What a bummer :/ Are your wife using the same console or another one all together? Are you both using Xbox or is there a PS4 present as well?
-
We both are using Xbox 360. She can play fine without any disconnect but when I play with her I'm the one that gets disconnected.
-
Do you get the same problem playing alone?
-
Yeah I do

Then maybe your router have trouble rerouting same ports to two different places and is set on your wifes xbox? But that doesn't have to be the issue, i'm just guessing here :) Have you tried logging on with your liveaccount on your wifes xbox? Is there any difference?
-
Yeah ice tried and the same thing happens. I'm almost wondering if my account is messed up or something.
-
Maybe, your guess is as good as mine in that case. I have no knowledge about xbox live, but have you tried logging out and in again from both consoles and tried connecting to Destiny?
-
Yups I've tried that too. I've even deleted my account and downloaded it again hoping that would help but no luck. Even messaged Microsoft about it.
-
Let us conclude what's done and written: - You have 2 xboxes - Your wife can play on either one with her account with no issues? - Your account don't work on either xbox, even with signing out and in again - You put up port forwarding on your router to no avail. Same issues. - You have set your router without port forwarding and only uPNP? Same issues. Seems like an issue with your live-account in general, what did MS say? Sorry, but i dont think I can come up with any other ideas.
-
Yeah sounds about right. And they told me that my acount looks fine which I think it's not. So I might have to call them again.

Good luck dude :) Hope it works out!
