He is saying his ghost keeps referring to him as a female when he is a male character in game. So maybe some translation issues in the French version of the game. I think, anyway. Adding: in this game "Guardian" is a title and doesn't signify gender at all. We are all called Guardian.

  • Yeah but proper nouns aren't usually translated. So Guardian is used even in translated versions of games, that's my guess anyway.

    AFAIR Guardian is translated to "Hüter" in German, so it'd be natural to be translated in French as well. It wouldn't be surprising to see errors ingame, as the German version of the Grimoire has some pretty shaky translations as well. E.g.: "the shield" is translated as "das Schild" (German for sign) and not "der Schild" Common mistake in everyday German, too, but to see it in a supposedly professionally translated text irks me to no end (but I'm an editor IRL so maybe I am a little too touchy).
