Because the console population is incapable of understanding the concept.
Case in point: "OH NOES ITS ON THE DISC BUT I CANNOT ACCESS IT THEREFORE BUNGIE IS CORRUPT"
Now try to explain to them why an expansion, which they'll call "dlc" costs say $40.

Not really how old are you? The gaming market is changing the 24+year old community is larger than you could imagine, and most of them understand whats going on. Yes the younger intitled community is driven toward I get what I want or I will freak out that generation will adjust over time after the first success. No offense to any younger generation ppl that broke out of the mold and made educated decisions over emotional ones...

I honestly think that it's the 24 year olds that cry the most.

Edited by xThexFatxKatx: 11/7/2014 7:56:54 PMIts about at 50/50 they are the beginning of generation intitled. That generation believes they deserve everything that life has to offer, but that a discussion for a different time.

Entitled*. I can't imagine how many times you've misspelled this on the Internet. What exactly is "50/50?"
-
Calm your tits pilgrim I am on my phone.... but fifty-fifty. equally good and bad, likely and unlikely, favorable and unfavorable, etc:
-
Ninja, please. "I" and "e" are far as hell away on any keyboard or touch pad. And I know the phrase and concept of 50/50 but what are you referring to? Under 24 y.o / 24 +?
-
The 24 year olds are 50/50

Edited by P00K: 11/7/2014 8:02:42 PMI'm old enough to yell at you to get off my lawn. It only takes one cruise around the forums at all the complaints about locked content or timed exclusives and so forth to know if they tried to really build on the base game through expansion it would most likely fail. The Dragon Age devs won't even allow DLC party members because it would have required hooks on the disc to make it happen... that alone says a lot about their target audience. EDIT: Or does nobody remember the world going batshit crazy when Microsoft thought they could go all digital? "Oh no! I can't buy my games used and save $5?"

Very true
