There is nothing wrong about not signing a card to a person you don't know. It'd be the same thing if someone asked you to sign a get well card to a person in another country you never met. If you sign a card for a person you don't care for all that signature is, is just ink on paper and nothing more. Might as well be like signing for a package delivered by fedex. There is nothing special about it and I'm sure the professor knows the same.

Well the way they was acting was being bitches about it. But just passing along the card without signing there is nothing wrong with. It's basically, I care about your losses as much as you care about mine.
