The whole "not enough content" crap is really silly. This game has more content in a single playthrough than most games nowadays. Yes, the game is lacking in certain aspect and definitely needs improvement, but most of your arguments are born of ignorance. They never showed fully textured versions of Old Chicago or the Reef, only concept art. "Locked DLC" on the disc is a stupid argument, as it's meant to be a placeholder, they've explained it and it makes absolutely perfect sense. You also CANNOT in any way compare Destiny to Skyrim. Why? It actually has zero to do with content and all to do with the always online aspect of the game, coupled with the fact that the game had to be handled on consoles. Many people have played this game for about as long as Skyrim and are enjoying it. This isn't Skyrim, it's not meant to be. Am I disappointed about several aspects of the game? Hell yes. The PvP needs a lot more playlists, especially coming from the developers of Halo, which has a multitude of different and fun playlists. PvE needs less bullet-sponge bosses, less repetitive missions, and more cohesive story (Grimoire IN-GAME would be a very good first step). Bugs need more fixing, exotic weapons balance needs looking into (more buffs, especially for PvE). The RNG also needs to be looked at in some way, mainly when it comes to the Raid. There are issues, but the game is complete and full of things to do. The fun is playing with others in all modes of the game. Your lack of satisfaction and the fact that you, like many, were overhyped and ignorant of game development is no excuse to make such accusations and arguments. Even if the rumors of the changing story are true, it's all part of development. Nothing is set in stone until the game is released. Believing everything developers talk about before then is being a bad consumer, period. And trust me, I've made my own mistakes in the past, so I know what I'm talking about.

  • So we should what let game developers walk all over us as consumers because we have never made a game before and completely excuse this entire situation. Wow I've read some dumb stuff before but really? The simple fact is that bungie over sold almost every aspect of the game and gosh darn us for believing them. At some point in time these developers are going to have to be held responsible for not delivering the game as promised.

  • Very few things they said are not as "promised". The rest is conjecture made by the gaming community from fluff language Bungie used as well as vagueness. And i never said that the game isn't disappointing, but saying they plain out lied is wrong. They even had an alpha and beta, and told us what regions were in the game before release. Ignorance is no excuse to blame Bungie for everything.

  • So white lies are okay? You can customize your character. . But in a limited way, your armor and weapons will tell your story; people will know what you have been through... everyone's buys suros from xur. I guess your point is that because we couldn't divulge the facts of what they had planned for destiny through all of thier half truths that we have no right to feel cheated by what they advertised. I'm not sure you understand this but selling half truths that you know don't live up to the expectations of the community is borderline false advertising.

  • I already said that I agree that many aspects of the game are disappointing. I wish that every level 30 didn't look the same, I wish true customization was available. Also, Xur. People have to let this go. RNG is one of the biggest complaints of the game, and Xur is there to help alleviate some of the issues. Suros Regime is not as strong as people make it out to be, at all. Common? Yes. But only because it is arguably the best auto rifle in the game. But Auto rifles lose to skilled players using other weapons. I have taken down so many Suros users with Atheon's Epilogue and Thorn (arguably a bad exotic). Suros users only rarely take me down. I don't have one, and don't want one. Finally, sure, there were some half-truths, but almost all game developers and companies do this. In every industry. It's called marketing. Sure, there are companies that are 100% honest and open, but they are the exception,, not the norm. Always have been. Having such incredibly high expectations is the consumer's fault most of the time. Bungie messed up in the amount of story and PvP playlists generally, but everything else is good (except the extensive RNG perhaps, as well as other issues I mentioned). I am not against taking Bungie to task for what we got, but you can't blame them for everything. Most of your arguments are all born of your own ignorance.

  • No they are born from what they sold to us. It might be marketing but its still half lies. It would not have been as big of a seller if they had been more open about what we were to expect from Destiny. I'm not the one saying stuff in interviews selling a bigger better product to the fans. If we have any ignorance its because Activision and bungie both knew that the hype they were selling would move more copies. This is not acceptable at all and i don't know why you believe it is acceptable to market white lies to people. And xur again for like the millionth time I have made this point with people; he wouldn't be necessary if they had built a reasonable amount of persistance to keep people interested in the first place. I have no problem playing the game but we all have a problem with " the real game starts after 20." And its the same boring -blam!-ing missions over and over again. I expected at least 50 levels at release. There is just not enough content and if they would have said that to begin with people wouldn't be so mad but if they had it wouldn't have sold as well so they fed us all this grandeur and half truths to make money and you are defending them for taking advantage of the trust the community had in bungie.
