The reason they would have had to cut content because of the lead writer leaving would be because of intellectual property rights. He wrote the story and when he left, he was under no obligation to let Bungie continue using his storyline. With that said, this would lead to cut content as they have to scramble to write a new story, and if you've ever tried to write what is essentially a play script, it's not an easy or fast task of you want it to be good. So yes, the lead writer leaving could potentially be the cause of the disappointment that Destiny presents

That is not factual in the slightest. Destiny was created under contract, the entire property is owned by BUNGIE STUDIOS, the story created by Joseph Staten was written under work-for-hire basis, and the entire intellectual property is owned by Bungie. There is simply no excuse for the poor state of the game after its development cycle. Bungie owns Destiny, Bungie owns every asset created for Destiny. There's no logic, at all, to your speculation.

That may not be true. It would depend on what kind of contract Staten signed. Same reason the writers don't own the existing Halo stories, and MS can re-release them. These contracts can be incredibly complicated. Staten may have retained the right to have small royalties, or he may have given up all rights. I'm not saying you're wrong, only that we don't really know whether or not he retained any rights to the story without seeing his contract.

That's a completely fabricated lied that Bungie community has dreamed but based on "anonymous" sources.

I have literally done zero research, all this was based on logical speculation. Like I said, that MIGHT have been the reason, it COULD HAVE been why the story sucks now. None of us have any idea what his contract entails. For all we know, he could've made a new story out of contract and Bungie liked that one better, and wanted to use it. We don't know. OP wanted to know how Staten leaving could've affected the cut content, I gave him a possibility.

Except you didn't say might and could have, you stated it as fact.

"Would have" and "would have lead to" are both hypothetical phrasings. Get hip retard
