Twice in 2 days I have had a rare engram convert to an epic but of the wrong class. I am a warlock but currently am the proud owner of a Titan helm and some hunter gloves. Is this something that is meant to happen? No other engram conversion has resulted in an uncommon or rare of the wrong class.
I can bank them, and have them there as rewards for levelling the other classes I suppose. But really I want them for my warlock. Has this happened to other people?? Should it have happened at all????

Yes, this is how my 2ed and 3rd character got 29 to do the raid

It's happened to me before. Tell you what though, it made me play as the hunter and titan more often than I normally would. Don't regret it at all.

1 Replyits meant to happen to encourage you to play other classes, and the engrams clearly say this can and will happen

2 RepliesEdited by Flint3125: 11/4/2014 3:52:18 AMAs Anidien has stated this is how the RNG works unfortunately. This has happened to me on many occasions and while it seems cruel that I got a legendary for a different class, I have since realized that it's a) good for an alt or b) better than getting a rare. You're not alone Guardian. Hang in there though - roles will start to happen for you soon :) JTS

2 RepliesI knew that there was a chance that the item could upgrade or even sadly downgrade. I haven't read that the class is random as well!! Thanks for the comment I will have to read the fine print instead of excitedly collecting my sparkly loot

Edited by Anidien: 11/4/2014 3:48:18 AMAny legendary or exotic armor from any engram is produced for a random class. This is noted in the tooltip of any engram capable of producing these tiers of items. You can put them in the vault for an alt, or break them down for ascendant shards.
