The people who don't care how their character looks compared to other characters, and don't see exotics as status symbols in the game need to move along and go back to Call of Duty or Halo. This game is supposed to give the gamers the opportunity for unlimited personalization, every guardian should be different. At least that's what they were boasting about before the release. They wanted this to be an MMO, but are treating it like just another run of the mill FPS. Seriously if all your concerned about is the stats, go play COD or HALO. To those of you who actually want something new in a FPS like and share away, maybe the guys at bungie will hear about our strife.

Let me just stop you at unlimited customization. That has to be a joke, right? Seriously, unlimited? There are finite numbers of gear in this game. That means there are finite numbers of ways to customize. Do you understand that simple concept? Probably not, because you posted what you did. Edit: as an addendum, if you really want unlimited customization, there must be unlimited gear. That means all items are equally likely to be earned. That means no gear is rare anymore. Infinite possibilities equalize all probabilities. This is yet another justification for having the exotics vendor.

  • What do you think happens in wow and other mmos? Everyone does the raids so they can attain the same gear. In vanilla wow everyone wanted nightslayer and armor for the rogues. All the rogues who were in raiding guilds looked exactly the same.

  • So why does everyone look the same , same raid gear, same raid weapons same exotic weapon or armour same shader , everyone hammered the VoG coz pushing atheon off the ledge made the VoG pointless

  • Unlimited personalization? We can't be talking about the same game.

  • Exactly, that's how it's supposed to be, that's what they were bragging about before the release, now in order to make it to level 30 you have to look the same as everyone else

  • So, you thought because they obviously exaggerated the capabilities of the game that you would actually get what they claimed. They were obviously trying to sell the product to gullible people like you. Hey, I've got a bridge for sale if you want to buy it.

To those of you who actually want something new in a FPS like and share away, maybe the guys at bungie will hear about our strife.[/quote] MMO is not remotely what destiny is... Massive multiplayer? 3 people per strike and 6 per raid? Max of what, 16 people in the tower? This is a FPS multiplayer game, and the idea that a closed circuit RNG system with such limited variety legendary and exotic weapons should be coveted by players as "limited quantity items" is a bit absurd. If the game had open trading and a severe abundance of variable gear with a different leveling system and higher player capacity for raids and strikes... Sure then you have a baseline argument. But this is another run of the mill game just like COD and Halo (the Bungie activision team up should have gave this away), except they added a faded form of importance and rarity to items.
