if you are for or against state why.
bungie has formally stated they will never and have no intentions of implimenting one, but maybe if enough of the forum pop agrees or disagrees they could in a perfect world listen.
I believe there should be. not for the players or to fix the shitty loot system, but for bungie to keep it's gamers. From a PR standpoint your loot system is flawed, and you have no intent on changing it, so let the players fix it by letting them trade. the game is at a point where there is little to no real world value on raid gear or loot if you are saying there's no trade for RWT prevention.

12 RepliesThey should make it so you have to pay 150 marks to trade with someone. Prevent abuse

8 RepliesIm just gonna leave this here......your welcome http://youtu.be/UZ5BpeHVTWY

Yes, but make it have a 'value system' as well so as to prevent boosting :) e.g. person A has an extra Gjallarhorn, they can trade it with person B's Thunderlord so person B can get a Gjallarhorn. Or maybe- Person A is a Warlock with the Knucklehead Radar, Person B is a Hunter with the Heart of Praxic Fire, they both trade armor pieces and are both happy in the end. See? Implement it smartly, so exotics and legendaries have their own tier, 2.0 blues can also swap with legendaries- etc. Some exceptions, of course, should be made, e.g. Husk of the Pit, but a smartly implemented trading system would be great for the game.

Be cool if there were some way u could trade bw your friend list/fireteams. Not w randoms or matchmaking.
-
no exotic or legendary trading, and allow glimmer to be traded for mats.
-
No, trading opens the door for duplicating. I definitely don't want that.
-
5 RepliesPossibly for materials, but not for gear. Don't need people selling raid sets or bungie implementing a binding system ala WoW. Only things worth buying are rng exotics and raid gear, you should have to raid for raid gear and I don't care to see Gjallies or Icebreakers being sold for 500 glimmer consumables (codex, house banners, beads, etc.)
-
If they if did, a lot of the dedicated players would've had everything a few hundred hours ago. Bungie's false god, the hamster wheel, won't allow trading for this reason.
-
4 RepliesMaterials only esp. freaking ascendant shards and energies. Otherwise the forum will be flooded with people looking for trades and you'll have to scroll all the way down to find groups for raids and nightfalls.
-
Everyone would have the same weapons then. It's impossible for you to not have a single weapon you like.
-
3 RepliesI say yes, but it needs to have some restrictions: 1. Items traded have to be of the same rarity (or have the same max light level). 2. Items to be traded have be obtained through RNG (rewards or engrams). The only reason I want this trade is for when you obtain duplicates of weapons/gear you already have. It's already so hard to get the legendaries/exotics you want, imagine if you were to get them twice, or you just bought an exotic and you get it again though RNG.

1 ReplyThe main draw for pve players is to get the best gear. A trading system would give them access to anything they wanted and eliminate the need to play higher level content to get the good gear. It would just lead to a lot of people having nothing to work toward because they could just trade for whatever gun they wanted. This would lead to a lot of people getting bored with the game and quitting it. So in short, I think its for the best that they don't have a trading system or if they did add one it would have to be regulated strictly, but that's just my opinion.
-
I'd literally just use it to gift duplicates of exotics/raid gear I have, plus maybe any useless purples I have no need for. Because of this I think trading SHOULD be implemented, but as a gift system, you give, with no guarantee the other person would give you anything back. Thus many could donate to others, but wouldn't be able to set up trades with strangers unless you're both unnaturally trusting!
-
3 RepliesNo. If a pro gives a scrub the vex, it holds NO value
-
Absolutely!
-
1 ReplyYes but, only at the time of the drop and only to members of your current fire team/Raid.
-
I believe they SHOULD a implement a trading system and lower the drop rate so there is not too many exotics floating about for trade! Also they would have to limit the amount of trades per guardian per weekly reset. Trades should either require some sort of commendation or a high glimmer cost!! In other words you would still have to earn them just in a different way. 1 more thing! If you wanted to trade your exotic piece with another guardian then the person you are trading with has to also have an exotic to trade! If however you wanted to trade down from exotic to legendary then that can only happen if the person that has the exotic initiates the trade! My 2 cents
-
The reason people want trade 1) Exotics to be traded for those you don't have 2) If you're looking to scam other players with this or start a equipment sale/service system it's rather obvious 3) No Glimmer or marks and getting some from your buddy 4) Hackers that hack accounts will have a blast with this system, so not only will accounts being hacked lose their stuff, someone else will be using their stuff
-
No exotics (items or mats) and no currency (glimmer, marks, commendations, etc.)
-
There could be some boubderies around it, like another agent of the nine acting as a trader. Both player talk to him, both have to pay X amount of strange coins, plus exhanging items of same type ( as of purple for purple ) and/or materials.
-
2 RepliesTakes away some of the random elements and earning a weapon. I've had a number of duplicates I sort of would like to have given to clan mates but wouldn't it make it less special for them to get it in a drop? You also run the very real risk of people saying "wire me £10 and I will send you a vex" and the next thing you know you've got loads of rich noobs that can't play well enough to get such weapons bouncing about in the crucible with em.
-
They would have to really think out a trading system because then a bunch of people would just ask their friends for their extra icebreaker or whatever
-
Trading could be good if it were controlled. X amount of trades per week or month. Or make people grind for a "trade token" that allows for one trade. My 2 cents
-
Only for materials and maybe Glimmer and marks.
-
Yes but only for materials

Edited by Vikz88: 12/29/2014 2:48:56 PMI voted no as it just opens a can of worms. Unskilled players getting the best things when they have not completed the content. People buying and selling stuff for real life money on eBay etc... I do however would like a roll system when loot drops. Example you get your drops but if you don't want it or someone else gets something you want you can put up for trade.
