if you are for or against state why.
bungie has formally stated they will never and have no intentions of implimenting one, but maybe if enough of the forum pop agrees or disagrees they could in a perfect world listen.
I believe there should be. not for the players or to fix the shitty loot system, but for bungie to keep it's gamers. From a PR standpoint your loot system is flawed, and you have no intent on changing it, so let the players fix it by letting them trade. the game is at a point where there is little to no real world value on raid gear or loot if you are saying there's no trade for RWT prevention.

Edited by JohnnyTooFastToGet: 12/29/2014 4:40:42 PMBecause people like my brother who have 3 or 4 of every exotic could just be giving them out and normally I wouldn't care but then PvP players would complain probably(I wouldn't care IMO) and also it would be too easy to beat the raids and stuff if everyone had all these exotics. Edit: I am neutral and that's my opinion

1 ReplyI voted yes because of the crappy loot system in the game. Have completed the VOG around 20 times total and have 2 Mythoclast, managed to get every weapon I wanted except Fatebringer, and a full set of armor. My buddy has completed the VOG over 100 times and can not get a Mythoclast. Would be nice to trade my extra Mythoclast for one of his extra Fatebringers. We will never see a trade system because Bungie Devs could not write the code well enough so it wouldn't be exploited.

Typically trading ruins every game its put into, but I like the way Diablo 3 switched to doing things. Boss drops can be traded for up to 1 hour with the people that were in your party at the time. No one else. This would help a lot in raids where you get whatever weapon for the umpteenth time and your friend hasn't seen it once.
-
2 RepliesBungie should have a trade robot in the tower. You can trade exotics for other exotics but you can only do one trade once a week.
-
Hell yeah. Im drooling over my friend's Vex Mythoclast He's drooling over my Gjallarhorn. That's a trade right there
-
1 Replyi want it so I could take ones unwanted exotics for myself :D

Edited by michelleobama: 12/29/2014 4:33:16 PMLike DarqueAx said, a fair trading system would be exotic for exotic or legendary for legendary. I am a Titan and I can trade unwanted Hunter exotics to my Hunter friend in return for Titan exotics.

Trade completely defeats the purpose of the system put in place so you stay addicted to the grind. It would make the game pointless too. That whole thing with recruitment people taking over the gaming forum same things gonna happen only now people won't even need to play they can just barter for what they want on an iPhone or computer. In a game like runescape you need trading because there's sooo many items, not to mention you can be a billionaire... But what would could you possibly give me that would be the same or close to the value for my re rolled ib or my gjallahorn Lol 25k of glimmer? No offense but it seems like people just want trading so they can get handouts from friends .
-
Yes. I've met so many people who need energies while I needed shards and would have been happy to swap 10 energies for 10 shards. It would also be cool to trade other items you have excess of for something you need.
-
there arnt this many items nor options for a trading system, with that i agree but if i have 3 icebreakers and i roll another one, which my friend might need, i would not hesitate to give it it him. this would work as others suggested, making a time window for sending items over between users who have accomplished the same mission.

1 ReplyPeople would lose interest fast s d all those eBay people selling thorn would pop up
-
Letting people trade loses peoples motivation to grind making this game pointless

Edited by straya m8: 12/29/2014 4:11:51 PMThere's barely enough weapons/armour for trading in this game lol For eg runescape was a massive game and they had a huge amount of weapons and armour to trade yeah I know that's an mmorpg this is an rpg no matter how people put it yeah it's fps but more of rpg

Edited by FDiii: 12/29/2014 4:11:21 PMI think they should. As long as what your trading has similar values. For example an old exotic for another old exotic or a higher damaged exotic for a higher damaged exotic. Raid guns for raid guns. Maybe like 3 legendaries for 1 exotic (MAYBE) But a trade system would be awesome as long as you have to trade similar values.
-
Edited by iMurklins: 12/29/2014 4:14:59 PMI said yes, if you make a trading system that only lets you trade items of the same rarity and type a certain amount of times a day.

2 RepliesOh god you people are stupid. If they allow trading say goodbye destiny hello dupes. Within the first hour of release of a trade system every exotic would spread and within a week every player would have every exotic. Then people dupe items for free glimmer, etc. It just keeps going on and on in an endless destructive cycle.
-
4 RepliesA trade system like the one in Diablo 3 would be nice. Trading only with players who was on your squad when the drop happened and for a particular time window(a few hours for example), and then it will be binded to your account. No glimmer, vanguards or crucible marks in exchange. This will avoid people from selling and hackers won't steal your items.

Voted yes simply because the loot system is terrible. Like others have said it should have some regulations. 1. You can only do a trade once a week (tuesday). 2. Has to be equal value (exotic to exotic, raid to raid) That's all I can think of right now but I don't think it would be a bad thing to implement this. I know some argue that it may lead to players getting bored and quitting but I see that happening anyway with the terrible loot system. It's already frustrating when someone has a good game and gets crap while the person who comes in at the end gets an exotic. Then it stings when you hear a person say "another one." I also think it could help out those who get tons of duplicates as well as gear for other classes they don't intend to use.
-
Trading would ruin this game for sure. It would take the story on how you got the gun, you just need good friends not good luck.
-
Yes, but only at the reward screen among fireteam members. It's beyond fair if it's mutual and would completely SOLVE the duplicate issue. Anything else could be exploited.
-
1 ReplyNo. Trading would ruin the game hands down.
-
It would wreck the game. Everyone would have what they want and then that would take the fun out of the feeling when you get what you want from a raid, weekly, nightfall.
-
Yes. Why yes? There are items that people get 3-5 times and they tear them down when others have been playing since day 1 and still haven't gotten said item. For example my friend got two monte Carlos in 3 days. He tore down his second one. I know plenty of people who want that weapon. Let people trade it for something they want or at least a boat load of materials. I would trade my Monte Carlo this second for 300 helium filaments.
-
No thanks. Trading opens doors to duplicating and what not. Definitely prefer RNG. It may not be good but it's at least not based on who u know (I.e. being friends with the cool kids)

i think so

12 RepliesThey should make it so you have to pay 150 marks to trade with someone. Prevent abuse
