Doesn't anyone remember the same damn shit happening in Skyrim when Microsoft bought exclusivity rights to the DLC? Playstation players had to wait for 8 months to start getting any of it, people still played the game. It all comes in time and yes it sucks but this is what was decided by Activision via a bidding war. Bitching at Playstation Players or Bungie isn't going to solve shit. Take it to Activision.

Yuup. I dont see why its such a big deal that lamestation has finally gotten its first ever timed exclusive content. If games are coming out on both consoles, microsoft has always been the one to get stuff for us first We, as xbox gamers, should stop bitching and let them enjoy their first It's probably gonna be their last because sony sucks and doesnt care

Skyrim dlc was only delayed because they had trouble coding for the PS3. Look it up.

Already had this part of the discussion, take a minute to read all the replies.

Skyrim was only delayed because of programming errors
-
That's was part of the reason but Microsoft also bought an exclusivity agreement for the DLC. The ps3 version was a port of the Microsoft coding and had to be fixed for the Playstation which caused further delays.
-
But the point I am making is that it was not Microsoft's fault that you had to wait
-
Yes cause Microsoft still paid for timed Exclusive DLC, issue is was it for 6 months then the rest of the wait was developing or what. But it is known that MS paid for timed exclusive. It is what MS were best known for during the Xbox 360 era. You remember all the DLC(Horse Armour, Character Customization) that Oblivion had but ps3 didnt get.
-
And the point I'm making is that there was an exclusivity deal. We were made to wait because Bethesda messed up I can admit to that but the point I'm making is that exclusivity deals are all over the market. They're crap, honestly and only serve the purpose to line the wallets of the big name companies. Bungie isn't making xbox wait, Activision is. The contract is legally binding and they just can't reverse this. Sony won the bidding war but at the end of the day it's the publisher that started the bidding war for DLC.

In the end both companies are at fault and we the consumers are the only ones hurt by this.
-
If you're looking for someone to blame then point your fingers at then point them at everyone involved. Microsoft isn't a saint because they were bidding just as well as sony, and I'm sure the stances would be flipped if the former had won the bidding. Activision are a bunch of asshats with money on the mind. Bungie released a game with most of its content cut. Hell even we as consumers and the industry are to blame as we'll for fostering this competition. Don't place the blame on just a few when everyone is at fault.
-
When I said both companies I meant Sony and Microsoft. They have been doing this for a while and like I said in the end it hurts us. Yes I agree we are partially to blame but I think more of it lies on Sony and Microsoft

I guess my only question is what are you expecting? They're competing businesses and each one is trying to gain the favor of their customer base. If screwing over the customers of their rival happens then great, those customers might buy their products instead. If you expect rivals to put their differences aside to make us feel better, you might not want to hold your breath.
