Abridged Suggestions for Improving Destiny. The N word.

Since both Bungie and their community read these forums, and there doesn't seem to be a suggestion box I can cram all this into, Ive decided to post an abridged version of ideas to improve Destiny. Calm down fan boys, I'm not attacking your baby. I enjoy Destiny, and have put in plenty of time since its release (12 days and some change). Figured this would also be an opportunity to get some serious, concentrated feedback and ideas from other perspectives. That being said, I have a strict 'don't feed the trolls' policy, so don't expect a reply if this starts a flame war or someone gets rump rustled. ONWARD! >General -Put glitch/error/bug fixes ahead of all else. There is no use fixing the raid if there is constant disconnecting, dropping, party resetting, and a bunch of other issues. We are all sick and tired of Noah's Ark popping up on our screens as an excuse rather than a diagnosis or a code word to allow for easy solutions. -Different balances for PvP and PvE. Obviously there are differences in damage between the two, but nerfing the Auto Rifle's range didn't have much impact on its use in Crucible, and makes it somewhat annoying in PvE. Mythoclast should carry some more weight than it does in PvE as well, considering you want it to be useful up until the next raid. -More sound options in the menu. A way to customize the volume of sound effects, ambient sounds, music, footsteps, voices, etc etc. >Vault of Glass I could chastise Bungie for worrying more about Atheon falling off the map then the numerous Vault of Glass glitches. But this post is about making Destiny a better game, not being a douche. -Vault of Glass has a "sound glitch" in which almost all sound are 'turned off'. Usually occurs around the Templar boss. Not gamebreaking but annoying. -Vault of Glass teleporters in the Gatekeeper/Atheon room don't work every time. Can pass right through them and not be teleported, or become trapped in teleporter. This glitch causes team wipes or at least singular deaths. -Players frequently drop from fireteam due to errors, leaving five or less people to finish that step of the raid. Annoying, makes the "Flawless Raider" achievement/trophy that much more difficult to obtain. This is a serious issue with both Destiny and Xbox Live (possibly Playstation Network as well, cant confirm) that needs to be fixed ASAP. >Weapons -Suros Regime Auto Rifle is being left un-upgraded in PVP to preserve its fire rate when aiming down sights. This results in an Exotic weapon that is stronger/more useful un-upgraded than it is fully upgraded. Either add more damage to the Focused Fire Perk or make the fire rate faster when aiming. -Pulse Rifles need work, they don't feel effective. Especially not Bad JuJu. Red Death is the exception, as it performs quite well. Improvement ideas: Less recoil? Better grouping? More range? Make it feel like the Battle Rifle from Halo 3 a bit more? -Heavy machine guns should feel like MORE than just a second Auto Rifle in PVE, could use more damage/impact. Reload shouldn't be all that high, if you need a sacrifice. PVP they work perfectly. -Fusion rifles are frequently groaned at in PVP for being overpowered. Personally, I don't feel this way, but I don't play all that much Crucible. Thought it would be best to address this, however. >Stats -More difference between nearly maxed out Armor/Recovery/Agility, and almost no Armor/Recovery/Agility. Make it worth it. (NOTE: PVE and IRON BANNER only.) Id like to see a difference between a max Armor Titan and a max Agility Titan besides one being able to take two more Dreg shots than the other. -As a Titan player, for the love of the Traveler, GIVE THE HUNTER A HIGHER JUMP. It doesn't seem right that the lithe and light Hunters cant jump as far as an armor plated jet pack with legs. >NPCs/Merchants -Bigger glimmer cap- glimmer is shared by up to three characters, and items such as Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Ships cost large amounts. If nothing else, allow us to bank glimmer in the item storage (up to, say, 200,000) and keep the "in-pocket" cap the same. -A way to expand our bank capacity. -Make the Guardian Outfitter, Eva Levante, refresh shaders. Even if its once a month for a new "season" of colors. Even if they cost huge amounts. Even if they are ONLY RARE. As a result, being able to see what your Guardian will look like in a shader pre-purchase will be very important, so add that too. -The Cryptarch needs more work. I suggest making each ten level ups guarantee at LEAST two Legendary Engrams- meaning while leveling up your cryptarch from level one to level ten, you will receive at least two legendary engrams somewhere in those levels. Same goes for level 11 to level 21. Only -slightly- predetermined. >Loot -Increase number of Strange Coins/Ascendant Shards/Ascendant Energy that can be gained from Nightfall. If I don't get an exotic, I at least want the mission to be worth it. 12 Ascendant materials or 8-10 Strange Coins aren't worth it. Seriously, 8 Strange Coins from Nightfall? Why you do dis? -Less Ascendant Materials from Legendary Engrams- this touches a nerve... it feels like a cop-out when you promise legendary items from engrams, and happen to add Ascendant Materials to the Legendary list at the same time. Not cool. Give us items, if we don't like them or need the materials more, we can dismantle them. Easy peasy. There... a nice fat wall of text. Of course, I'll be looking for a way to get the fully detailed list to Bungie alone. Feel free to post hate, rage, or helpful suggestions here as well. Have at it, Guardians! *Edit 1- Added The N word to the title, see if it gets any clicks.

 • Agreed. I think there needs to be actual fixes done to this game all the glitches and problems we experience in the vault of glass! instead of Nerfing all these weapons and catering to one group of people.. I think a lot of people agree with this

 • I like most of the suggestions. I think the stats should be more differentiated like you said, but I'm not sure that Fusion Rifles need a nerf. Maybe a touch less range, but they are usually pretty risky to use. (Pocket Infinity has been recently taken down a few notches, so I think people could lay off the complaints about it.) The SUROS Regime points are interesting. Personally, I've never seen someone intentionally not upgrade a weapon for PvP. As a SUROS owner, I don't know that I'd want to sacrifice the stability, range, or bonus damage for the sake of a slightly higher fire rate. At some point you're going to get beat out by the Grim Citizen III, the Vanquisher VII, or heck, even a Galahad-E. (It's happened to me! ^^) It's food for thought though.
