Not a bad idea. That said, won't happen since it would generate 2 advantages vs standard first person view. First is increased peripheral vision, second is eliminating the whole point of variable scope options by changing the way aim down sites works. I'm assuming you'd expect ADS to now pull you to a close over the shoulder view rather than just first person down the scope. Effectively giving the range/accuracy of ADS with the field of view slightly better than current hip fire.

This is an extremely valid point. I'm sure they could come up with a way to meld the first and 3rd person aspect for ADS. Perhaps a hybrid of the two even. It would be interesting to see how it would work but at the same time we had the relic in vault of glass that shot a projectile using a 3rd person reticle of some sort. I'd just make adjustments to that.
