Actually it's because humans have the ability to reason and no other species can.

Then you have not studied primate psychological evolution. It provides a window into H. sapien sapiens own evolution. Also you might want to observe hominid/hominoids. You would be surprised with what you'll find. While you're at it observe canids, felids, and avians for starters.
