As a hunter, I feel my class contribution in raids is very situation specific. As in, my hunter is slightly more effective at dropping oracles. Thats it. My titan buffs everyone's dps or adds survivabilty to the entire fireteam. My warlock will eventually be able to be the only class that can die and then rez in vog hard mode. My hunter? Well, my sniper rifle does more damage to atheon than his super does. Just sayin'

I had someone in VOG Hard tell me to change from Bladedancer to Gunslinger because my Golden Gun could be used against the boss. My response: "My sniper rifle deals more damage, faster."

At higher difficulties enemies are damage sponges and deal crazy amounts of damage. You are better off using a "support" class that increases the sirvivability of you and your team mates. Hunters have only offensive subclasses. Assuming the leak about the third class for hunters is true, they might become more useful in PVE, but that will depend on how good their abilites actually are and if they can be used on bosses as well.

Hunters are great for support when you equip invisibility. This works well for reviving teammates in tough situations and can be an invaluable asset to the team.

Useful, not invaluable. See, if you trun invisible to revive an ally in the middle of a bunch of enemies, well, you are reviving him in the middle of a bich of enemies. And if your invisiblity runs out ehile reviving your tammate, then you're bith in a bad position. If he's not surrounded, anyone could have gotten him anyway. Titans can get to him and revive teammates inside a safe zone. Again, not saying they're useless. They have abilities that make them useful, but those uses are situational.
