Why raids should Not have LFR

I’m honestly perplexed as to why so many people are up in arms over Raids not having LFR (looking for raid). Here are some reasons I think people are upset. 1. They feel entitled because they are spending money on this game. I am sorry to say that this only entitles you to having the chance to play it, not how the game should be made or what you want to see. Also think about how many other games those on consoles have spent $60 on yet only received a quick campaign and multiplayer. I’d suggest being grateful. 2. They have never had previous raid or MMO experience. Raids are endgame content. This means that they are built to be hard and almost impossible to beat. The reason for this is because now you have a reason to come back time and time again until you beat it. 3. They didn’t realize Bungie was being serious about placing so much importance on teams and clans not only in the weekly updates, but throughout Bnet as well. If you go back throughout the past weekly updates you will see a pattern upon the importance for teams. Bungie also created a website where you can create and manage your own clan. Clans even have their own forums. 4. They may just be lazy or don't have the time. I understand some people are to busy or have life schedules to hectic to be able to be on at certain times so as to beat raids. If raids are as hard as Bungie is making them out to be then they will require long hours. If that is so then I am sorry to say that you will most likely not be getting it done even with pugs. Here are some opinions I have as to why raids should not have LFR. 1. Raids with LFR reduced the difficulty and severely cuts any satisfaction from beating it. 2. Raids reward those that read the signs and prepared for release. 3. Raids reward teams and clans for coordination and communication. 4. Raids are endgame content and should be as difficult as possible. 5. Raids will be extremely hard and will therefore take long amounts of time. Wasting it with people that don’t learn or are unable to handle it is frustrating. 6. Raids should not be for the casual, but for those with the desire and commitment to beat the game. 7. Raids are far more fun with friends. I laugh a heck of a lot more with friends then people I’m thrown into with the matchmaking system. 8. Bungie is building this game with several experiences including the social side.

  • All content should be accessible by everyone who bought the game. everyone that wants an LFR system (in game) or matchmaking for raids just wants the option of being able to play the endgame content. and everyone saying that randoms don't/won't work is full of crap, every raid ive ever done in other MMO's was with randoms. It's not like all the groups of friends never wiped in the VoG, and who cares if a group of randoms wipes 30 damn times before they beat it or progress further, at least they get to try. All people want is the option to access the content that they paid for. (Having to go outside of a game to put together a group of people is just -blam!-ing lazy on Bungie's part. they really couldn't put in a chat system???)
