@Cogadh Draco & @Dan: I think like many of us have done, Dan has probably beaten the raid more than enough times and has put in countless hours with this game. I will continue to play the raid week in and week out because our clan and I have a blast playing it. It is by far the best and most enjoyable of part of Destiny. I share Dan's frustration in that to achieve level 30, every guardian needs THE SAME armor. This frustration does not stem from not being able to beat the vault of glass...I've done it, as I'm sure a lot of people have...but rather the idea of a uniform AESTHETIC look to all the Guardians out there who do reach level 30. Bungie has many times over promoted this as a game in which you will become your own unique legend...while in reality the game forces us all to achieve uniformity. Although the shaders and class items help, the level of individualization is capped by the restrain of reaching level 30. I myself am two raid armors away from level 30, this isn't for a lack of trying. Through the many adventures of the vault of glass, I have acquired some very nice loot. I love the Hunter's cloak and many strangers in the tower gawk at it and at my chatter white shader. I have most of the raid weapons and have even walked away with some cool exotics. Some of our clan members have not been so lucky (WHO NEEDS FIVE WHITE SHADERS? Any other stories like this out there?). When I do reach level 30, I will most likely go back the wearing the other armors I visually enjoy at the cost of dropping my level. If ever an update occurs that allows players to achieve level 30 by any other means, then so be it. By no means would I be "butt hurt" by it, knowing that our clan will beat future raids and enjoy those rewards as well. And that such rewards will have their own unique abilities just like the vault of glass armors and weapons do now. But as you can see, I digress...because ultimately the topic seems to be more about individuality and how the people would like to play the game versus how you are currently "asked" to play the game. In the end I hope we all don't become part the Clone Army and that each Guardian truly becomes their own legend. Time to digress again; We might complain about this game, we might get angry about this game, we might post and rant...but in the end, we would not be so passionate about a game unless we fell in love with some aspect of it. No matter its faults and its frustration, I'll continue to play Destiny because I have found something in it that I haven't found in other games. To each his own.
