Traditional trading in games works.
However, some people would exploit it in this particular setting.
Maybe a secure auction house would be the way to go. No person to person trading. (This would at least limit some of the real world cash for items trades.)

They can set it up to 1 trade a week until the weekly refresh, then users can't sell there items as no one would pay 10 PSN for 1 item and shops wouldn't make any money

I can't see it working like that if I'm honest. My whole outlook for example... I spend a lot of time gathering resources. A LOT of time. I currently have 200ish Spinmetal, Relic, Helium and close to 300 Spirit. My mate spends a lot of his time in the Crucible. So has very little time to upgrade. I do have better gear than him but lets say I didn't.... I should be able to put 20 of a resource in an auction house and someone should be able to buy them for say, 1000 Glimmer or an Ascendant Shard. This gives them the resources and me a shard to help with upgrades. I shouldn't be able to give them 20 resources and have them hand me "something" in return however. Because that would promote cash for gear.

Trading works in WOW so why not destiny? I have exotics I don't use that my friends could use and vice versa! Just have it so you can't trade glimmer just items! And have it capped to say, one exotic and one legendary a week so as not to make all players to powerful.

Edited by snakeman84: 10/22/2014 10:53:28 AMAuction house trading works brilliantly in WoW. I'm a long time WoW player, since Vanilla. P2P trading doesn't work though. I've been offered cash for items a thousand times. A hard lock for Exotics and Legendary items could feasibly work, yes. But maybe Ex's should be BOA or BOP Also... Glimmer would become the staple for trading. Which in turn would make people play more often to aquire it. :-D

You can be offered cash for your account and the noob player would still be getting everything for cash and doing no work
-
You mean cash for your PSN account in this respect yeah? If someone is dumb enough to buy a PSN account for real world cash then you can't stop that. Hell, that probably happens all the time anyway so wouldn't affect trading anyway.
-
I am just saying it won't stop black markets from happening and it won't stop people from buying accounts but it can be set up to where its not worth it for people to buy stuff but worth it to trade
-
Yeah, I know... lol I'm simply saying that an auction house in game is safer than a P2P trading system. Either way... Both will be exploited before they work properly. The way Bungie has handled this game so far is laughable however and I don't think many people will hang around after GTAV and COD release next month.
-
That is true I will be modding Advanced Warfare on my PS3 lol but a Trading System can be done I added a few things to my post that can make a great trading system and would work flawlessly as long as its coded correctly and the only thong not laughable with Bunige is there game security as it is strict lol
-
I've never modded a COD game due to lacking the knowledge, lol I maxed them all the hard way!! PS4 snakeman84

You need a jailbroken PS3, checkout RMzModShop.com its my site and I have proof videos and everything (:
-
I don't disbelieve you, lol I gave the PS3 to my missus for Castlevania and Netflix when I got the PS4. :-D
-
Lol well my site has mod you can purchase for Call of Duty and GTAV and the stats carry over on Ghosts and GTAV and when Advanced Warfare comes out it will to transfer over (: I could mod Destiny but Bunige has strict security and I would just get banned within a few hours
