Atheists say that Atheism isn't a religion because it doesn't have a God/Goddess or gods/goddesses to worship. You don't need them to worship something, you just need something or someone(persons) to worship.
It's pretty obvious that Atheists worship Charles Darwin because of his paving the way of 'proving' evolution. Atheists also worship other famous theorists and scientists that try to disprove God's existence and/or prove evolution.
So yes, Atheism is a religion.

You mean respecting irrefutable evidence made by an observational scientist is worship? And how come Gregor Mendel, a monk in Europe, was in support of Darwin's theory of evolution and actually sent Darwin his own data on pea pod genes to support the theory?
